The Western Scroll Stamping is reminescent of what out would be stitched on a saddle or cowboy boots. Thus we used it for our border on the War Pony.
With its deep dye penetration and dense thread count batik fabric is the only fabric we recommend for raw edge machine applique.
Batik fabric is a unique and beautiful handmade fabric. The process utilizes wax to selectively dye the fabric of the cloth different colors. When the wax is applied in dots, lines, or other patterns to the cloth, it resists the color chosen for a dye. Handmade batik fabrics can bring any quilting project to life with rich color saturation and a dense thread count, perfect for applique. Colors may vary from dye lot to dye lot because of the handmade process.
We purchase our fabrics from Batik Textiles. They are a small, family owned company that is personally involved in the entire production process. The fabrics are amazing and so are Dave and Cynthi!
