THE OWNERS:
Frank and Katie Bramante live in Northwest Montana, the same corner of the world where Glacier National Park is located. From their log home in this majestic corner, Frank and Katie can look out of their windows for inspiration. Snow capped mountains and abundant wildlife are at their doorstep. Happily married for over 40 years, they are that rare couple that can work and play together – And still love (and even like) each at the end of the day!
Frank has dabbled in quite a few ventures in his life. He worked with his father in carpentry and went on to work with renowned luthier, R. L. Givens, making mandolins and a special line of rosewood guitars. He is a talented singer-songwriter that stretched his talents and produced his own CD. Frank and Katie’s sons, Jake and Josiah, also talented musicians, played bass and drums respectively as well as sang background vocals. Frank has stated that he not only wrote the songs, built the guitar, recorded the CD, – he created the band!
Katie met and fell in love with Frank while in college. She left school and rode off into the sunset with her man. But that isn’t the end of the story, only the beginning. She worked as a waitress, which by the way is an excellent way to hone your customer service skills. The product you are selling is reviewed right then and if there is a problem, you need to resolve it! An avid sewer since grade school, Katie made clothes for herself and their sons as well as home decor items and traditional quilts as gifts for loved ones. She went back to college and got a business management degree. This opened up opportunities in a variety of businesses, including the appliqué quilting business.
Both of them have been in the art quilt business for quite a few years. Frank worked in the pattern manufacturing side while Katie assisted in design and oversaw business operations. After a short break, they decided to move forward with their their own business. This move gives them the freedom to choose art from a talented pool of artists that reflects life at its best.
Frank and Katie welcome you to their cabin and look forward to sharing with you in this new venture.
